I just bought my first Polaris '00 SP500 and I have an obvious question...what's up with the lights? It seems to make more sense to have all of them on when you have them on bright? Has anyone modified this successfully?

Also, how far can one expect to go on a tankfull of gas?

Thanks!

There is a way to put all three lights on at the same time, you'll have to check back through the posts to find out how. I just wired in a set of bright driving lights, fabricated an under the plastic front bumper mount, and put a switch on the side of the headlight pod. You got to be careful though, thats a lot of pull on the charging system. I only use mine when I really need daylight at night.

Check out the link in my “signature” to find complete instructions for the headlight wiring mod and lots of other stuff. It’s in the folder ATV Odds & Ends.

I think you can manipulate the switch to an "in between" position to get all three lights on.

Now I remember, Floodrunner has it posted on his site! I've been so awash with Polaris stuff I'd lose my own head if it weren't attached with the cranial screw-top method. Good luck with the light triples.
