I am new to the ATV world after spending many years riding snowmobiles. I have the SP500HO with the short rack extenders (3.5&quot I can definitely see the need for buying a rear bag for storage. My question is which do you prefer, the soft side or hard box style? I have seen ATV logic and Kolpin and I am sure many others. Kolpin is quite a bit higher than the others, are they worth it?

Thanks

I prefer the soft ones.'
I have one for each bike, the u-shaped ones.
I just ordered 8 more for some friends,
$65 each is a good deal
And yes it's waterproof

The hard sides have the advantage of not squashing any of your delicate stuff. However the soft sides don't rattle nearly as bad if you have say, a canteen in it 'loose'.
I prefer the hard side for 'permanent' mounting, and the soft side, with quick-buckles for putting on & off. I think it is more a personal preference thing than which one is 'better'.
Whatever you get, spend the extra for ones that are waterproof.
