Is the Scrambler 400 worth an additional $1600 for a beginner rider who does not anticipate jumping or hillclimbing but rather trailriding, exploring and some duneing?

I would normaly say yes, but I've seen in earlier posts the new ATV would be for your wife. In that case I say save your $$ and get the TB. My wife owned one a few years back and never had a problem with it. I used to abuse the thing and it held up very well, but eventually sold it due to lack of use.

Don't expect to go from your EX to the TB and not notice the difference, but to a beginner it is a great machine.

As your wifes riding skills improve over the next year or so take that same $1500 and put it into the TB. It will be a hole new machine for her to grow into.

You should be able to find a slightly used TB in the Cycle Trader, I believe you get the same issue as here in PHX adn I always see them in there. I currently have my Sport in there.

Yes, there are quite a few areas to ride around here. I go out to 115th AVE. and Camelback ocasionally, but usually tear up the vaccant lot up the street when I get bored. I haven't the time to ride as much lately as I would like too.

I haven't quite decided what I'll be getting next. I may look into another dirtbike? I need to get setteled into the new house first.

Hey az400l, is your bike set up as a trail mod, or race mod? What's its top speed?

Do you mhave any seperate parts from your weeler that you'd want to sell? I don't need a whole wheeler, but need some parts.

I would go with the Scrambler 400 just incase you ever needed the more power, or felt like jumping sometime.

It's a full HPD race mod, with FTR pipe. I've hit 85MPH on a chassis dyno before, not had a chance to radar it anywhere else. I don't have any spare parts for sale.

The TB is a nice quad, but easily outgrown. My girl had one & it even made her bored. Now she has an EX. Like a said, nice, reliable quad. But it seems like you outgrow it so fast, your trading it in before you know it!
