Why do the typical ATV mags rag the Polaris's? They seem to think that if its not light as a feather and super powerful then its not worth it. Also...I found that I can wheelie the new TB if I load up the engine against the brake. I know doing this isnt good for a car so Im assuming its not too cool on my new TB, either. Can anyone elaborate on either?

I owed a 2000 Scrambler 400 2x4. I really liked the ride to my earlier quad - a blaster. But now I have a 2000 DS, and really like the ride and power. The Polaris isn't a bad ride, just different than most. Just like the DS. As for wheelies on a polaris, a 250 w/o mod? This is about the only way you can get a wheelie. My stock 400 didn't want to wheelie much either. Once I ported the head, piped, k&n and a clutch kit. It was a wheelie machine w/o using the brake. The Polaris's wheelie a whole lot better than my DS. Never a need to shift, never a need to hit your rear foot brake. It's just an all around fun ride. I just wish they could have made another quad with the same motor, braking, clutching but a sporter frame and half the weight. From 540lb down to 400lbs or less. Now that would put Polaris on top!
