You can do a search on posts here and find a couple of solutions. I did the diode method and it works like a champ. I was thinking of making kits to sell with color coded wire and instructions. Montana Jack's has a kit for $19.95. I was thinking I could do mine for $15 with shipping.
Using the diode you only tap into two wires in the headlight pod. The pod is pretty much protected so using the 3M quick connects should not pose a problem with corrosion. The Sportsmans with the 250watt alternator will handle this load no sweat.

I did the Montana Jack's switch kit and loved it. I know that I could have done it myself and got the parts at a hardware store but it was simple and cheap and saved me time in the end. I ended up just going with the low beams and all beams on at the same time without their low, high and all three kit. Just didn't see the need for the high beam on when my purpose was to have all three at once.
Get it you'll love it.
