Anyone ever run different tires on the front than the back, not different sizes, just different treads (besides the sand guys). I have Dirt Devils on the front but thought of buying Gators on rear. Any input? Thanks......Okie

I do and almost always have. Different tires have different characteristics. I like a more square profile tire on the rear to increase stability and reduce roll. I also like a more rounded profile tire on the front to give easier steering. Right now I am running 27x11x12 589s on the front and 27x12x12 Bearclaws on the rear. In the past I have used Mudsharks and Maxxis Rubicons. The Mudsharks I liked because they were a lighter tire and were less money but I found they would wear out faster than the Maxxis or the Bearclaws.
The one main thing to watch out for when using different brands front and rear on a 4x4 is that you measure the circumference of each to make sure they are both the same size. You may have to adjust the air pressure slightly up or down to get them all the same size.

Two different brands of tires is good but stay with the same size front and rear. The Bearclaw and Mudrunner are great tires. The 589 by Titan is also worth looking into.
