Why does Polaris come out with their new workmobiles when they get so much pressure to come out with a sport quad? Why make a skid-loader and make it inferior other skid loader brands? At least they keep coming out with new "limited edition" plastic to add some excitement to their atvs.

I'll believe it when it hits the showroom floor. I don't want to see some cobbled together P.O.S., I want to see the finished product. Polaris, make a believer out of me.
bradz 71,
The Polaris skid steer is a much better machine for off road. It's designed for trailbuilding exclusively. Trust me, after seeing where one will go, there isn't too much that will stop it. It will go places that most wheeled skid steers (even with optional tracks) will fear to tread. I saw it easily go up a muddy bank that people would have trouble walking up over. Granted, it is lighter than most wheeled skid steers. Polaris uses fiberglass body work instead of the steel others use mainly for better manuverability in the woods, rather than weight for work.

i'm not trying to start a flame here but it still is going to be a polaris. I had a 2000 scrambler 400 2x4 and it was a pile. I went through 2 transmissions within 3 weeks of each other that turned me off for polaris for good. I ride a 400ex now and am perfectly satisfied with it except that it needs more power. However, if polaris floats your boat so be it. this post is just my opinion

Alaska YFM,
Yeah, I found it hard to believe too. But it is actually true. On machines that they are supposed to save weight (quads, motorcycles, snowmobiles, PWCs) they don't. On machines that are supposed to be heavy, they save weight. Go figure....
