This may seem like a silly question, but what kind of hose can I use for a vent hose for my fuel tank on my '99 500 Scrambler? (what size)

My dealer is 45 minutes away and I was going to just try some clear hose from a home imrovement store of some sort, but I want to make sure the gas won't eat through it or break it down.

Mine broke or got kinked or something and is now in two pieces (sort of brittle).

Thanks,
SnowDrift

The hose you got from the HOME IMPROVEMENT store should say if it is resistant to chemicals. That is the only way you will know if the hose you got is any good. Read the box that it came in.... Other wise try an autoparts store for fuel line?????
