I am looking to buy some new tires/ and possibly rims and am wondering which tire is best suited for mud and snow??? Has anyone had any better experiences with one or the other??
Any help would be appreciated and where can one get these for cheap?? Is it better to get them as a tire/wheel combo or seperately?? Cuz i dont know if i can afford the combo? By the way its for a '96 Sportsman 500.

Well, I've seen both go, and if mud is what you are looking for, both are good tires..the mudrunners may have an advantage in snow, but the DD will treat you better in sand. If you get the dirt devils in the XT package, you get a 1 1/8" lug, so the best of both worlds in a 6 ply. I would say for all around, the Dirt Devils will treat you good if you go to the XT's. I would say the best place to buy is Rocky Mountain ATV, you can get 4 tires and 4 ITP rims for under $350!!

I'm running the Goodyear Tracker P and had good traction in snow and mud and that is pulling a trailer, the choice is yours.
