I've got a '00 500 SP and I love the ride. My dad owns a '99 big bear and hates it, bone shaker and impossible to put in reverse. So he wants a SP but doesn't need the 500. How does the 335 ride compared to the 500? He was impressed with the comfy ride of the 500, loved the PVT so no gear changing, but since I have had cooling problems, he wants to go with the 335, air cooled. Any recommendations?

I think the ride is the same. As long as he doesnt get on yours he'll probably be satisfied. A friend of mine has both and after riding the 500 then getting back on the 335 it really seems slow.

I checked the Polaris brochure, and found the only difference in suspension was that the rear shocks were 1 5/8" vs. 2" for the SP 500. I am assuming that they would ride the same. The 335 does not have the EBS that the SP 500 has. Otherwise, besides being a smaller engine, and a little smaller gas tank, the 335 and the 500 are identical. Guess its time to start playing the salesmanship game.

I have both machines, and the ride is about the same. The big difference is the feel of the 500 vs the 335 which I gave to my wife. The 500 is pretty snappy compared to the 335. Check the cost difference between the two. The 500 is an excellent ride if the price is close..
