Would it hurt to run 10w40 or 20w50 in a 425 magnum.I am selling it and i hate to spend the cash on polaris oil.But that is all that has been in it.I hate to get rid of this but i have the fever for a Scrambler.

I would at least use a 4 cycle MOTORCYCLE oil and not the Automotive motor oil.

I was in my local Auto parts store yesterday (MURRAYS) and they had Valvoline 4 cycle ATV oil.

It might be cheaper than the polaris oil. I am told that conventional motor oils break down to quickly

in a Motorcycle engine due to the severity of HIGH RPM and RPM RANGE (HIGH TO LOW TO HIGH TO LOW).

I think the Cycle oils have different Manufacture Rating also.
