Noticed this guy (Bubba Ramsey) has an auction(actually it's really an advertisement) going on on Ebay for quite some time now. he says he does porting both trail and race porting. Just wondering if anyone out there actully tried him out and if his work was up to snuff. He doesn't show any closeup pics or anything of the actual work on the auction itself. He does claim that he's been in the business for quite some time though. If you want to check it out, go to the auction and do a search for Polaris Atv and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I think I have seen that before too, is he from the South somewhere, Arkansas, maybe?

If it were my $450+ cylinder I would only trust it to a known shop such as HPD or RCR, only.

Yeah I dont know, I e-mailed him about it directly a month or so ago and he sent me a lengthy and informative e-mail but I just couldnt make myself send my jug to Arizona to an unkown source, His price is great at $125 but I just dont think I want anyone but Mr. Ritter grinding on my jug, Ricks knowledge and experience out wiegh any cost savings in the long run, Besides I dont think he will stand behind his work like RCR does. Its just my 2 cents , I dont want to offend Bubba but Ive spent a lot of money with RCR and in my book he will be doing my port work this winter

Todd, I think you are reffering to the so called "Arizona Bad Boys." I've not known him (and why it's called Bad Boy's when it just one guy working out of a detached 1 car garage I don't know) to advertise on Ebay. I believe the individual referenced in the first post is somebody else, but still in the same boat IMHO.

But then, everybody has to start somewhere. I just wouldn't want to be the guy they start with!

Thanks for the replies. Just wondering if anyone out there had actually had any work done with this guy that's all. I was planning on getting Rick to mine myself. Wish it didn't take so long to get it done, but good things come to those who wait and besides Rick has never pointed me in the wrong direction and has always answered my questions no matter how idiotic he probably thought they were. I will say this though, everyone does have to start somewhere as you posted above and if his work was very good that's one thing, but without closeup pics and someone notible from the forum giving a good review of the work, I'm certainly not gonna take a chance myself.
Just got in my HPD clutch kit and delta 2 reeds with spacer. Gonna do a litle work on it this weekend and hopefully get to send off for the trail port job early next week. Boy is it gonna be a lonnnnnnnnng three weeks!
