am i getting cheated on a scrambler

I found a 1996 Polaris 400 scrambler for 36 hundred dollars is that a good price.

I paid $4000.00 for my 99 Sport 400 brand new. Is not 4x4, and yours is. But if I were you, I'd try to find a "left over" 99. For the loan value, look on Kelly Blue Book... www.kbb.com under motorcycles, also, Yahoo auctions under transpertation then ATVs has a couple scramblers there. You can judge what they're selling for. Hope this helps

I wouldn't say you were getting cheated, but I don't think that's a great price. I got one of those '99 hold overs that Bruce is talking about. I paid $4650 for it ($5000 out the door for taxes etc.) I think I got a pretty good deal, mine may be a '99 but it was still brand new right out of the crate. For an extra thousand bucks you can have one that you can break in yourself

Sounds high to me. Polaris has improved the Scrambler significantly since '96 and if you can swing the extra $, I'd buy a newer model.
