Just a piece of advice if you go to the ARGO, Max section of this forum beware. Them guys are very influential about their machines. They don't really seem to like us quad guys from what I have seen. But if your interested in one that would be the place to look for good info. Hope this helps. Oh yeah they aren't really all that bad in there just alittle fun with them!!!

from an Argo to a Sportsman 6x6? isn't your criteria of what you want a little more specific?
afterall, there is absolutely NOTHING in common between a Polaris and Argo. the Argo's a joke! the Argo is like driving a clumsy, double left-footed tank. ever try driving a Bob Cat skid steer loader down the trails? is that fun? yea right!
you can drive them in the water? sure you can- but make sure there's no strong wind or current concidering they only float at 2-3 MPH in water! i can pass you pedaling in my PADDLE BOAT! and make sure there are no boats to make a wave! let's see, that just leaves riding in PONDS which is NO FUN or ILLEGAL riding in wetland vegetation.

I picked up my new 2002 Ranger 6x6 last night and the first impression is very good. 3 up seating. MUCH improved steering, handling and turning. Inline shift. Composite box. More power. Faster. Lighter (by about 140 lbs). More open underneath so you can actually get at stuff for maintenance.
On the down side, without the console to break it up, it now LOOKS like a golf cart. They did away with the electronic fuel gauge and now have a cheap gas cap type. They don't have some of the accessories they had for the old style (low windshield, plastic hardtop, plastic toolbox).
These are minor compared to the huge improvements. This feels like a much more trailworthy machine than the old style. The fact that the per tire weight is about 40 lbs less than the Ranger 4x4 pushed me to another 6x6.

if i had a use for one, i wouldn't think twice about buying one to!

P.S. post some pics of you mudding with that bad boy! would love to see them. (be sure you go with a buddy with a BIG winch just in case you bury it though! LOL)
