The damage looks pretty bad. I'm not sure if its even worth fixing. We were riding at Haspin Acres and going around a good sized left hand turn. The trail had a split in the middle with some trees and small bushes so I stayed right. Right then I saw a quad come around that side of the trail and he was flying. He didn't even come close to stopping and plowed right into me. We both went over the handlebars and his helmet flew off and went about 25 feet according to my buddy behind me. His 400ex didnt look bad at all but my frame is bent. It crushed the radiator and the impact was so great the exhaust pulled away from the cylinder and cracked my new rear plastic. I don't know why in the hell this guy went to his left around that turn, much less at that speed. I just put about 600 into the motor and it was runing great. How much could I get for everyhting if I part it out? This really bites.

Rockey,

Send me an email, I may be interested in the transmission and the front struts.

Please contact me if you are wanting to part it out!

Thanks

Erin

I would hate to have that happen to me, but I would be laughing all the way to the bank with my insurance. Any damage or break to my Scrambler can only cost me $250 and the dealer does the work. All I have to do is survive the crash!

Rockey,
Please let me know if you are going to part it out. I will give you a good price for the motor and CDI box. E-mail me at txpedsrt@aol.com.

I thought about getting theft insurance a week ago when we went to Gatlinburg but I never would've thought anyone offered collision insurance for a quad. I bet 90% of quads will be involved in a wreck, I didn't figure an insurance sompany could offer a policy, oh well. I really think I am going to part it out. Anyone interested in anything can email me @ JeffRockey@peoplepc or Jeff.Rockey@cinergy.com. Here is a list of what I compiled in the short two months Ive owned it.
RCR stage 1 kit
Trail ported cylinder
Wiesco .020 over
12:1 head
60mm overbored carb
HPD roller clutch
HPD aggressive clutch kit
Kevlar belt
Maxxis all Trak tires
brand new plastic all around, the front has never been installed.

There is no way that you can make him pay for it? You would think that it would be an easy win for you in court. Maybe I'm missing something.

Sorry to hear about your news...Glad everyone is okay.

The problem with atv accidents is it is near impossible to prove who's fault it is since there really are not any set rules. You would need several unbiased witnesses.
