700 (new) or a 500 (used) which way to go ?

Doug:
I'm in the same position myself - have been looking at new quads: grizzly, 500 HO and 6x6, and I just don't see any advantage in buying used, there isn't much of a price break. To put this in perspective, I bought a 91 4x4 Big Bear with a 96 engine in it three years ago, for $2k. I mentioned a possible sale to a couple of buddies at $1800, and they were all over me about it. I should have priced it higher.
Also keep in mind that quads weren't built to be ambled around the back yard, they were built to go where some serious abuse can occur. So one never knows what has happened, or hasn't been maintained. If you buy new, that isn't a problem.
