Got to look and race a Z400 for the first time this weekend. Those things are quick out of the hole or my scrammy isn't running right. He jumped me about 4 links then I held my own and this is with RCR PORTING. That 400 is so light and the guy riding it porobably weighed less than my leg. I still like my Scrammy though.

Yeah its definetly a different feel than the scrambler, I traded my 400 in on saturday for a z400 and man oh man, My scrammmy had about a grand or so in HPD goodies & wouldnt hang with this. I cant wait untill the warrnty expires and the Yosi goodies go on

I just saw my first Z400 this week-end. Super nice quad. Didn't race it on the DS but my brother on my girls 400EX raced it along with another piped EX. It was almost a 3 way tie. It runs OK, but not super fast like I heard it was. A piped & jetted EX seems to be a good race for a stock Z400.

Let me get this straight, a 2-stroke 400 polaris 2x4 with 1000 bucks of HPD goodies will not hang with the 400Z, but a piped and jetted 400ex is a good race for it. Are you guys talking about an MX track? I am sure your not talking about a drag race. A Grand spent at HPD will put you ahead of stock Raptors in a drag race, damn that 400Z must be fast.......

I was shocked also. I havn't been beat but once by a 400ex and he had the biggest motor you could go to. I was up in altitude some and had a rel dirty air filter but that dude shot out of the hole like a cannon. I am going riding tomorrow to see what it will do at my own altitude. I put a new belt on also and by just riding in the yard it seems stronger at home. Also just got the motor back together and did some rejetting so my jetting might have been off. Not making any excuses he was fast.
