My tranny on the 425 4x4 is getting hard to get into hi and the chain seems to be jumpping in the gearcase and I am going to pull it apart to take a look.Can anyone give me any pointers on this.This is about the only part of this quad i havent rebuilt myself so far.So any input would be nice. Thanks Brad

I don't know how much difference the 4x4 makes internaly but I just did mine on my 2x4 Scrambler and there was nothing to it. Very simple inside, but I would definatly get a Polaris manual. Good luck.

I have both a Polaris and a Clymer manual and the only diferance in these trannys is mine has a longer output shaft and a low gear.Hope it goes smooth. Thanks Brad

Got it apart and all it needs is a chain and shift fork.

I found getting it in and out of the bike harder than the working on the trans itself.
