Extended Warranty Transferable?

I was thinking about buying another Scrambler. This guy has an ‘00 Scrambler 400 2x4 and he has owned it for 2 years he has 3 years left on warranty. He said the warranty is transferable. Is this true? Also is that extra warranty any good? Does it cover a lot of things? Thanks
