I know that you don't care much for the FMF on a 400 but I have had good luck with mine. I had a problem with anither pipe blowing out a weld and they would not take it back. Ritter helped me set everything up and part for part I would challenge anybody yo a race.I took the stock airbox off yesterday and clamped my wifes spare Magnum filter direct to the carb and it bout near bucked me off. The response was so quicker and I never carried the front wheels off the ground so far. A little more air goes a long way. The guys that used to beat up on the scrammy won,t even race now. Would realley like to race a z400.

Go with whatever works. I had to have mine re-welded twice. Now it's no longer around....sure did like the chrome though.
