MustGoFaster.....I think we've talked before. I am Sandragggen on EXriders. We need to hook up and ride soon. modquad there is a 1800 acre riding park (St. Joe State Park) about 12 miles from the track. Come on down and make a weekend out of it. There are plenty of cheap cockroach motels around....j/k they are ok, and camping at St. Joe. It's a good time. Like MustGoFaster said there is a 2 day race July 5-6th. Practice starts around 5 pm and races begin at 7:30. Must be signed up by 6 pm or no racing.

Hey I know, we can't make that race. I have to work and my wife and kids are going home for the Holidays. Our next race event will be July 13. I just changed vacation last night to be able to make the 2 day event in August, for Labor day weekend.

Hopefully we'll have the wheelie bar made by the 13th. I expect my son will have a hard time keeping the front end down without it.
We'll see you the 13th!

Already have the paddles, not sure how soon I'll make the trip. If someone could e-mail me the summer's schedule, I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Ken

On sand/dirt mixture i ran a 5.600(wanted to get into the 5.5's last night, barely missed it!) @ 55.27 mph. Had a great time until i wheelied, lost my grip and proceeeded to try and hang onto the twist throttle, well I got a whole lotta throttle and a shoulder popped outta the socket, but its all good, cant wait to hit Mexico for the 4th and recover!

Hey Jay (puddle), what kind of MPH were you turning on your machine? I am kind of using you as a benchmark since I know the difference. Thanks,Bubba. By the way, dont know anyone who has an alky carb for sale do you? I'll buy a new one if I have to, but it would push it farther down the road.

Bubba....the mph on the 5.135 was 59.80. The 60' time was 1.834. Right off hand I don't know anyone that has a used alky carb. I know a couple of guys that swear the Lectron will give you a .10 faster ET than FTZ. Check out FTZ site http://www.ftzracing.com/ATVcarb01.htm. The 39mm taper bore is the one I'm using. If you plan on extended runs like at Lil Sahara I would advise to get the fuel pump. I know first hand that past 300' or so, you will run the fuel bowl dry. Good Luck.

Thanks Jay, I knew a guy was filling me full of sh** the other day at the drag races. He told me his polaris went 4.80 at 84mph. I can believe the 4.8 part, but I knew the mph was way off. The bologna just keeps getting better the more people you talk to. I like to see the real times. Thanks for the info, and we are planning another Sahara trip end of Sept or beginning of Oct. would like to see you guys back out there. It should be more interesting by then,Bubba

4.8 and 84 mph..lol. Sometimes it's very hard to get a straight answer from fellow racers. My buddies 4.5 second Banshee does only like 61 or so mph. It's all about how fast you get there. I had a gps the other day and the fastest I could go in the sand with paddles was 72 mph...according to the gps.....seemed kinda slow to me. I'm working on a few other go fast goodies and I'm planning a trip to Lil Sahara sometime in Oct. Might see you there. Hopefully the EX will be making the trip this time.

I think 72 in the sand probably would be right. My buddy on his 250r stretched out on our 1000ft drag strip (on asphalt) only went 78-79mph. So I would think your on target with that figure.I like the 60ft times your getting out of that bike. Are you still running the blue primary? or have you moved up to the violet yet? You make gobs of power on alky, so I dont know if you need the violet or not. Bubba

Bubba....I'm using the gold primary, 55S weights, violet secondary, 44/38 helix, 2/2 position and newly acquired HPD super buttons. I'm going to try out the blue spring with 53 weights.....looking for a little higher engagement. Right now I'm engaging at 3200-3300 rpm. I'd like to be engaging around 3800-4000 rpm. A buddy tried the violet primary and it didn't work out to well. My starter is starting to act up so I think I'm gonna loose the starter/battery and take another lb. off the flywheel.
