Need advice: Sp500 HO trade in for a 6X6 ? 6X6 without HO-engine!?

Hi guys.
I own a mountain-cabin in Austria and i use a SP500 HO (2001) to pull a trailer with boards n stuff up there to restore the 350 year old building. I just take 5 or 6 boards on the trailer and at two steep places, the SP 500 has trouble to get enough traction to pull the trailer up. I am using the SP with stock-tires on that gravel-road and have a solid-surface kit to use on paved roads. I am thinking of trading the SP 500 in to get a new 6X6. Today I got the chance to ride the 6X6 and I figured that it has a lot less power than the SP500 HO because it still hasnt got the HO engine. Further more I felt taht the traction on loose gravel is not much better than the SP 500 and when climbing over rocks, the wheels loose contact to the ground because the wheels get lifted up from ground.
Can anyone out there give me an advice or tell me his/her experience with a 6X6 compared to a 4X4? Is the 6X6 available with the HO-engine and the big carburator? We do not get much info over here in Europe.
I am thankfull about any comment on my posting.

hAVE HERD OF THE 4x4 AND 6x6 rANGER BY pOLARIS? They are bigger and drive like a car with a steering wheel. Large bed for hauling and full roll cage. Check out on the Polaris web site. The sportsman 500 6X6 is very good in mud but has a large turning radius. Be careful on steep hills....rolled my green one 6 times from climbing too steep of a hill. Thank God for insurance!!!!!!!
I visited Austria a few years ago and loved Nothern Austia. Beautiful place!

If you can get more weight into the cargo box of the 6x6, it will have more traction than the 4x4. On loose gravel especially, you will be able to haul a load far better than you could ever pull it.
Yes, go look up the Ranger on the website. That machine is designed for WORK, plus has the advantage of allowing 2 wide seating, kind of like a heavy-duty 6WD golf cart. Someone told me you can even fit 3 skinny people on the seat, but I never tried it myself.

Would you mind to describe more in detail what you mean, pleasè?
Got it of course, but I have no idea what difference it makes. Does it mean that the HO engine ist more to go fast or for fun and the Non-HO is more to pull trailers nstuff? Rgds martin
