Trying to replace my bearings - front was no problem to disassmeble but I cannot get the rear axle off the bike. There seems to be a large 1 1/4" nut on each side of the central hub but I can't move them and don't know if I need to. Help!

If you have the taper bearings on your trailblazer. Im not sure what year they started using them.To replace the bearings you have to remove one of the nuts to get the bearings out. Try removing the right hand side one first if you can because you have to get that nut loose because it's the one that you use to adjust the play in the bearings. When i replaced mine i had to take a tourch and heat the nut up to get it loose and that was with a big pipe on the wrench. Once you get the nut off the rest is pretty simple to do. just make sure you put anti-seize on the threads to make adjusting them and replacing them easier the next time. Hope this helps you out.
