Lurch77,

The box is only designed to protect against splashing. It is by no means waterproof. The entire top is open thus allowing more airflow but increasing chance of water getting in. I've never personally splashed water into it, but I imagine it could be done.

Made the airbox mods and left the snorkle off. Put an Outerwear on the filter to protect against incedental water and excess dust. If I am going to be riding in the creek, I put the snorkle back on.
