I have a 99 sport 400.Just replaced the old front struts with Works. They made a huge difference.I am now wanting a rear shock. Is the Fox shock that HOT SEAT sells worth the $$$$$$??I have a stock fox rear shock on it but it doesnt have a resevoir.Any help and replies will be appreciated.

99sport,

Yes you do have a reservoir on it. Believe it or not the outside body of the shock IS the reservoir. Now on to your question. I seroiusly doubt if you'll notice any gain from the Hot Seat shock. It is basically a little less fancy version of the one on yours. I have a Works shock on my Sport. It really helps. The only thing I wish it had was compression dampening (it seems a little stiff). It does have rebound dampening, but that doesn't come into play unless you're hitting some MAJOR jumps (I don't). Works sells a rebound and compression adjustable shock for somewhere between $600-$700. Give them a ring if you're interested.

Like Mike said, there's the Work's unit. Also check out Chopper City in Mpls, they sell a custom clicker unit. HPD's custom rear will give you a magic carpet ride at 50 through the woods....very limited run though.
