does anyone know what the tube with the red plug is underneath the air filter box? why would there be a liquid in it? plus should it have a fuel smell in the air box?
p.s. liquid in tube is not gas. might be a mixture

That little tube is the drain tube for your airbox. When crap (dust, bugs, water) gets into the airbox and the filter keeps it from entering the carb, it rattles around the airbox until you pull the plug and drain it.

Yes, it should smell like gas when you look into the airbox. Look down the large opening in the bottom, see that round silver opening? That's the carb, where the air and gas get mixed before heading to the cylinder.

What quad do you ride?

If your sediment tube is full of water,it indicates to me that you have been riding thru some pretty good amounts of water.ALLWAYS check that tube after going thru water alot.Drain it as soon as possible.===BILL
