Check Your Vent Hoses
#1
Hi,
I am a Yamaha Y2Kodiak rider but thaught I would come over and tell you guys about a disaster my co-worker had after getting his SP500 back from service.
The Dealer tech pulled off some vent hoses for some reason and failed to replace them. They as usuall will not of admit to it. He lost the engine. Upper and lower. Dirty water got in.
This has prompted me to get to know my vent hose locations and check the regularly.

Good sugesstion. I was looking at my vent hoses yesterday and found that the one on the top of the engine oil reservor had a 1 inch slit in the hose near the reservor.Glad i saw that before hitting the water. BTW its a new machine and hasent seen water yet.
