The best advice you can get is to check the want ads in major cities for the dealers ads. If you see a dealer's ad that looks too good to be true, give them a call and ask them flat out if you can buy a machine for that amount--cash.

They tend to play games such as adding destination fees and so forth, but you can find some who will sell you the machine for the price advertised.

Check www.insidedenver.com go to classifieds. If you want a relly popular machine (such as the Yamaha Kodiak, Polaris Magnum 500, Honda Rubicon, etc.), you can expect to pay a price close to retail. For example, a Kodiak lists for 5900, sells for 5500+. If you select a less popular machine, you can find a better deal. Last year I bought a Big bear that listed for 5300 for 4500 cash.

It seems to me the more expensive they are the more you can get off the list price, but atvs are so popular at least where i live its hard to get a great deal. It all depends on what its worth to you and how bad you really want it.

Good luck to you Jack

For Polaris try Heinen and Mason in Anoka.

For Yamaha, Suzuki, or Arctic Cat try Larson Cycle Sales in Cambridge,MN. They are just about unbeatable. BTW they usually have an add in the Star Tribune.

For Honda try the Hitching Post in St. Paul

Jack,

Find the MSRP, manufacturer's stated retail price. (Any dealer will give you this, ask to SEE it!)

Deduct 5-12% depnding on availability of the machine you want, and
Take that mother home!!
