Polaris Creed

Bill,
You will never get tired of the Xplorer. You will become addicted like a junkie needing a fix. You will find out on your own just how comfortable this quad is on the trail. 80-100 mile days are no problem. As of right now I have 1,000 miles on my Xplorer with one componet failure a Regina chain master link broke at 110 miles. A quailty control issue on Reginas part not Polaris. There was a recall on certin models with this chain to be fixed for free.
Yes the ode is a version of the US Marine Creed: My Rifle. As seen in the movie Full Metal Jacket an awesome movie.

Odin,im allready addicted to the Xplorer.I finally used up the fisrt tank of gas yesterday.I hate the brown colored seat though.Im bringing it into a friends upholstery shop this morning. He will add 1 inch of padding and cover it in black for me.Only charging me 45 dollars. The brown looks like a big piece of crap just lying on the quad.Bad graphics on the part of Polaris.Do you have any mods on yours yet?How do I find out if my Xplorer is part of the recall you mention?=BILL

Bill,
It was a silent recall. My dealer told me other people where having the same problem. The models where the Xplorer, and both Scramblers. As you can see it only affected high horsepower units. The master link was weak and not heat treated properly. 2000 models have been fixed. BTW I now keep an extra master link in my tool kit.
My Xplorer is stock except for the carburetor settings. I will be adding a GPS and rack bags soon.
