scotta,

That's really not fair........not letting us in on more info. Let me guess and you confirm or say no:

600cc, liquid cooled, same chassis as sp700, sharing all components other than engine with sp700......i.e. front driveline, tranny, rear driveline, belt housing snorkeling, etc. Just a different engine. What has me wondering though is that the sp700 is supposed to have 25% more power than the sp500.........where would this leave the sp600 at? I would hope that the 600 would be High Output, with 25% more than the sp500HO, and the sp700 will be changed to a HO, giving up even more power. LET US KNOW..........

Goes just about if not just as fast as the 700, smoother power, more reliable, just about the same chassis...overall - very nice and reliable engine and atv.

<< more reliable >>

I don't understand that quote. How can Polaris tell that it is more reliable even though it isn't released to the public yet? Does that mean that Polaris originally released the Sportsman 700 knowing it isn't reliable?

Is the above original post another Polaris marketing move (like the predator)? Instead of giving all the details, just a little info is released so more attention is drawn to this "mystery" bike. Same thing last year before the Sportsman 700 was released. Someone would come on these forums and post vague Sportsman 700 info. I don't dought that there may be a Sportsman 600 coming, but come on - just post the info!

Perhaps instead of saying more reliable I should have said that the bugs we saw in the first 700 SP should be worked out in the new sportsmans. The guys I have talked to claim that there is no difference in the performance in the 600 compared to the 700. It seems that Polaris will have no choice but to up the performance of the 700 model. If they don't have one in the works already.
