have any of you looked at the yamaha forums? well when i did i saw stuff on the Grizzly 660 and none of it was very good. stuff like over heating, bogging in mud, floorboards sag, cv joint problems and others....... some said that they had to cut holes in the side of the plastic to vent some heat...lol that is what happens when they make it quick and cheap..and it only weighs 600lbs. just like the grizz 600, which wasnt liquid cooled and it didnt have independent rear..(so how did the weight stay the same...lol) well right back if u have heard any thing else bad on them junkers.....

i though that myself, when kawi introduced the 650, all of a sudden we had all kinds of 650+ cc quads. don't think yamaha is the only one with problems, i can list some that the sp700 has had too, and the quest and the kawi 650

everyone has an opinion about a quad, some just more informed than others. as for the grizzly being junk, lmao!!! my grizzly has done more than ANY OTHER QUAD I HAVE ever owned!!! what i like best about it is how easy it pulls my friends sportsman 500 out when he gets stuck trying to follow me, lol. if you havent rode one, or better yet, owned one, why comment out of ignorance??? i surly wouldn't comment on how the 700 is junk, couse it aint. no big 4x4 is. they all have querks, and some more than others. the grizzly has had vary few, and none that ever affected me. mine is over a year old,( bought in june last year) and the only money i have ever put into it was mods.

First off, the Grizz660 is not junk. My dad has a 660 and a SP700. Both has had there problems, but let me tell ya something. I put a Hot Seat Speed kit in the 700 and the 660 can still out run it and will always be able to out run the 700. I'm a Polaris fan, and will always be one, I love my SP500HO, but the 660 is an awesome machine and so is the 700. But the 700 will never touch what the 660 has to play with. NO WAY
All machines have there problems, there is not a perfect one that comes off the line. But as far as I'm concerned the 660 out performs the 700. Just my .02 worth

the 660 would be my 1st choice for an atv, i just don't have the cash right now, they're over 10K in Canada, then the kawi, then the sp700 or the 650 QUEST. The blue grizly's look SWEET

As far as a Grizz being junk....I have a good friend who bought a Griz, and I can't see where one can call it junk. It is actually an nice quad. It is faster than my 500 ho but other than that we seem to be even up on hill climbing mudding and general trail riding. Only thing I am beating him on is fuel economy. It all boils down to ones preferences, and pocketbook. I was honestly thinking of getting a griz myself but didn't see the need for the 660. The 500 is plenty of engine for me and my quad has taken me through every mud hole his griz has and up every hill we both would dare to try. As has been stated before, all brands have problem children at some point but to single out the Griz in general, I personally don't agree with it being a junk atv. just my .02 worth

no one anwsered my question about the weight... (how can it still weigh 600 pounds like the old grizz 600??...with the independent and bigger liquid cooled motor...that is just asking for problems!!)

My uncle's Grizzly hasn't had any problems, its awesome. The can keep it the same by going to lighter weight materials, its not really asking for problems, Polaris' are heavy and not to start a flame, but they aren't the most reliable, not saying they aren't reliable, but thats not what they are known for.

I decided on the 500HO because of reports on this board that the grizz does not do well in deep water, also I don't like the idea of the rev limiter on the grizz while in 4WD, I love my Polaris.
