The pedal is now to the point where is cannot even lockup the rear tires.My 1998 owners manual is a vague "catch all" with no useful info.I have a counter sproket brake,not an axle mounted one.

Ah, that's an easy one. Do you know where the arm is for ther aux. brake on the rear brake? There is a allen screw that looks like it's holding it on. Turn the allen screw clock wise until the pedal reaches it's desired free play.

I quit adjusting mine they seem to work for about one or to hills then quit.Both brakes are activated by the hand lever anyways.
