Predator coming in November

elroy,
Well, you know I'll be up to see it. Give me a ring when it comes in. It seems that you guys are the only Polaris dealer up in that neck of the woods anymore. MPS lost their dealership due in part to some shady financial dealings. Now, if I can just get rid of my Sport.....

You guys must be very brand loyal. So many Polaris guys swear by the auto tranny & 400L & they sink gobs of money into them just to make them somewhat comparable to the rest of the sport quad market. Then Polaris comes out with a more "conventional" sport quad & you are all chomping at the bit. What gives?
I wish Polaris would have made this quad 2 years ago, then I'd have been brand loyal too.

I just talked to the owner of my dealer, who called Polaris to see when they will come, and Elroy is right. NOVEMBER!!

Andrew, the last I checked, there's nothing wrong with brand loyalty. As far as sinking money into the 400, it's been a blast of a hobby (girlfriend calls it an obsession). Doesn't matter what brand you own, have fun with it...personalize it. Polaris listened to our wants (they monitor forums like this one)and gave us something that meets them. Time will tell the reliabilty (though they beat the snot out of it for 3 years)but I like what I saw, and rode. Hope you like your DS...nice machine.

Ken,
There isn't anything with brand loyalty. I was only saying if anyone (who owned a Polaris) really wanted a lighter weight better handling quad they could have been riding one for a couple of years now instead of waiting on a Polaris one. After the Raptor 1st year problems I doubt I ever buy a 1st year quad, but if this Polaris is as good as Polaris claims it is I might buy another Polaris. Of course if Honda were to introduce another sport quad... choices, choices. The thing I'm curious about is the handling. It sounds like a totally new approach. Fact is, all the sport quads aren't really that different in terms of speed. Nothing a few mods won't tip the scales in any quads favor. But this handling that would be exclusive to Polaris peaks my interest. Learning that the motor isn't a Rotax is kind of disappointing in a way. I'm sure Polaris can develope a good motor, but Rotax that is a motor.

Good points Andrew. I guess everyone will have to see for themselves. The faster I rode the Predator, the smoother and smoother the machine became. You have to realize after being used to the controls on the Sport, getting used to shifting again took a minute or two, but then, Yahoo, the dirt was flying. If you get a chance, take one for a ripe.
