Predator

How many people on here race in a National GNCC or MotorX race or a somewhere where you have to race a 440cc quad. ALL of the quad races i've been to race everything under the sun(250r,raptors,400ex,Banshee,C'dale).
My point being that 99.9% of the people that will be buying these quads(not just the Predator) will never race at that level. So what does it matter if it is a 500cc or not. If you and I race , It will be locally at our favorite track with a bunch of guys that we know, for NO money.

Another good point, Bigger. Just for those of us wondering if they're ever gonna aim at getting into some factory wars. I'm STILL grinnin' like an idiot, and I rode the Predator back on Monday. Still waiting for Hondas entry. We get them all going, it's gonna be a good time.

Also, at GNCCs to compete in the upper echelons of the sport, there are no displacement limits on quads that I'm aware of. The only displacement limits seem to be geared toward MX machines, and I doubt Polaris is aiming the Predator in that direction. It just isn't light enough and the power hit is too mellow (as described to me by a dealer that got a chance to ride one).

Alaska YFM,
Yeah, I've noticed that too. Most of the "Honda R us" riders are using some sort of big bore kit in the 250s. So, I would imagine that there is no upper limit when riding in either the "pro" or "pro production" class. Also with the addition of the XC kit, it should make it legal for the stock class. Good idea Polaris.

Sorry guys, I stand corrected, I guess that was the AMA MX. I just remember hearing about Honda having a big fued since the limit was set at 440cc instead of 450.
Mojave 300ex, that's the same graph you'll find in the factory brochure, guess time will tell, we don't know what the conditions were (surface)and such. They're all kinda bundled together til the 30mph mark or so.
Predator on order, adding nerfs, resevoirs, K&N, then turnin' it loose. Sorry Elmer Fudd, there's no being quiet while the beast hunts...run wabbit run!!!!

i've seen that chart too, no way a 400EX beats a raptor off the line polaris man- don't get all mad and as you put it pi$$ed off. 3 years, well i hope they used their time wisely, cause a high performance quad takes a lot of abuse (for years and years and years.....)

Thanks Colorado , my goof. The Harescrambles around here are the same. Like I was thinking before, I think it's just the AMA MX national stuff. Hope those wildfires out there missed you, that's gotta be awful scary watching them race around.
Ken.....Predator power!!! Here comes the BOOM!!!!!!
