I am pretty mad about that too. You mean to tell me all we have left are the gutless Magnum 330's??? I always thought the Magnum 500 was an awesome quad. Polaris, why no Magnum 500's?

Polaris dumped 11 models for 2003. Explorers, Expeditions and the 500 Magnum are gone. IF you got to have a 500 Magnum, I'm sure there are some still out there. Have a look at the 600 twin, that is a nice quad, you'll just have to live with the extra power and IRS.

The Magnum 500's are great quads. Their sales were slow due to the jazziness of the 500HO with IRS. Too bad for the death of a great quad.

not bad mouthing polaris here, but the 2 magnums i use to ride with, they were nothing but trouble. bent axel, rear end went, water pump, starter, cylinoid............... And guess what he traded it in on??? a sp700. this is honestly what he said. "the polaris dealer was the only place that would alow me anything on a trade in."

I ride with a friend who owns a 325 Magnum, 500 Magnum, and SP500HO DU. They are all great ATV's but he takes care of them. Never any problems except from harder riding. This guy is 280 pounds and he rides hard.

A rear axle bending sounds like abuse to me or over-aggressive riding which can lead to a myriad of other problems. I think that the Magnum is a solid ATV. But I don't discound the lemons that may be out there.
