Rincon and I have had our differences more than once. He is nothing but a troll in my opinion. He has even admitted to agitating people just to get a rise out of them. I have not seen him add anything of substance to any forum. It is attitudeds like his that give discussion boards a bad reputation.

JHAM,
I thank you for the heads up. AND, do not let Rincon bait you into an arguement or bash session. We(the online atv community) all share the same interest and there is no reason why we should try to antagonize one another.

mtpockets,
Just because your dealer has not experienced, that does not mean the problem does not exist. I know you were not calling him aliar, and you only passed on the rude comments, but I can see why JHAM would get offended in this discussion.

I have to agree with Rincon, I think the problem is that a lot of people misinterpret his humor and then you start to bash him. He did not start any bashing in this thread Gregsims, you and others did. He also did not make any personal disparaging remarks.

I for one thank JHAM for the heads up, it may or may not be affecting most 700sp but I guess time will tell. I for one hope it is uncommon

Where and how did I take it the wrong way? All I did was list the known problems and thank him for the heads up. I, in no way, took offense to his post.

Evan, where did I bash? My comments were directed toward Rincon, who has taken every opportunity to stir the crap since he started posting online. I do not see Rincons constant bashing as a sense of humor. he generalized Polaris owners in his post stating that "they're all like this, they get all offended when they should be thanking you. but let them be, they just don't get it." He was and is loooking to stir up crap as usual, and I, for one, could do without his sense of humor. It got old a month ago.

And, there is no question that Rincon is a troll. he does nothing but look for opportunities to insult people (like in this thread) or bash someone else'e machine.

Like I told him before, I met most of my riding buddies in this forum and forums like it. If he would behave, he might find the usefulness of forums like this in promoting the sport and meeting people to ride with.

I cannot tell you the number of people online in other forums that do not visit this forum anymore due to people (kids) like Rincon. I think it is sad. And, i am not basing my opnion of Rincon on what he said in this post. All you have to do is look at his track record in the Polaris forum to understand why I am fed up with him.

I may have overreacted and if so I apologize.

I will give a simple example of why I did. It is not only this thread or this forum or this board. You can go to most any ATV board, to the Polaris thread and read people who have other bikes knocking Polaris, especially the SP700. Gregsims posted a fair list of the problems with that bike. I have one of them and only experienced the water pump leak problem. I would still match it up with any of the bigbore ATVs, and even many of the “sport” ATVs. On the other hand, I am also interested in the other Bigbore bikes like the Grizz and Prairie, so I also read those threads. While I see Grizz owners fuming about boiling fuel and vapor locks among a few other chronic problems, I have yet to see Polaris owner’s even owners of Sportsman 500s which are ROCK SOLID going over and bashing the Grizz on Yamaha threads.

One of the top subjects in the Polaris thread is “why so much hatred against Polaris” That is a very good topic, IMHO its cause everyone picks on the best, I have yet to see anyone try to knock over the guy at the bottom of the hill.

Gregsims
Perhaps my definition of bashing is different than yours. But I consider a personal attack/name calling(i.e.troll) to be a form of bashing. All I read was that Rincon said "their all like this" meaning I presume polaris owners and I did not see any attacks against you (in this post)but I did notice that you attacked him to begin with and then reiterated it later.
Also he seemed to take it quite well when I had earlier mentioned that "he must be getting some" and he did not start to bash after that. If you weren't so overly sensitive perhaps you also would have noticed this.
Perhaps older people (like myself) don't visit this site because people will not let things die, they keep bringing past behavior up instead of letting it go. You should take a close look at your own behavior before condemning someone for their past behavior.
I also had a long running post battle with Rincon but fortunatly I'm mature enough to let it go, because I have noticed that his recent posts have been much more civilised.
A good start would be not to bring up what has happened in past threads, in this instance you are the guilty party.

What about my behavior is unaccpetable? What have I done other than confront a person that spends about half of his time online degrading Polaris and Polaris owners? If this was all he had ever said about Polaris and Polaris owners, I would not have said a word. I do more reading here than posting nowdays. He has stirred up the crap more than once in the past, and it seems he continues to do so.

You said in your earlier post:

"He also did not make any personal disparaging remarks."

What do you call the remarks he made toward Polaris owners?

You also said:

"He did not start any bashing in this thread Gregsims, you and others did."

I said nothing about him, nor did I take offense to the original post. I like ot hear about potential prblems so I know what to expect. He, on the other hand, insulted Polaris owners, in general, with his post and it is the norm for him on this discussion board and others. I could sit by and watch him stir up crap over and over, or I could stand up to him. I chose the latter. If that means I was wrong in this instance, then so be it.

Ijust did a search on this site of his post and he seems to have toned it down a little over the last few weeks, so maybe he is changing his evil (anti-polaris ways) to some extent. I guess if he is trying to do better, maybe I owe him an apology... I will think about it... OK, I am done. Nope, no apology. He was still bad mouthing Polaris owners in general in this thread. I will have to wait and see if he has really turned from the dark side, and when I am convinced I will lightne up on him a little. (not much, but a little)
