We just picked up a tight quad. A 2003 Scrambler 500 4X4 for $5600. It is the blue and yellow edition. It has yellow a-arms,skid plate, and swingarm. Its not to bad for performance but it seems a little tall and narrow though. The top speed is 59.6 and it is dead even with our 98 Warrior all the way up.

Yeah. We bought it in Marquette, MI at a place called Scooters Powersports. All of the dealers in the UP have good prices. One spot had a 700sp for 6400 and a 500HOsp for 5700. They also give good trade in prices. We traded a 2000 Wolverine in and they gave us 3600 for it. We only paid a little over 2000 out the door and they threw in a bumber for half price.

scramblered,
Its got about 300 miles on it with an oil change so yeah it is. The speed was with a GPS on a loose gravel road. I figure with polaris speedos measuring how fast the wheels are turning and they are a few mph off compared to my GPS anyway so I think its alright. I know there supposed to go upper sixties but thats if you hold it wide open for two miles on a hardpack road. This road was only about 1/2 mile long. You may be right but it seems ok to me (didn't buy it for top end anyway but that seems to be what everyone cares about).
