I was looking to get a K & N air filter for my 99 Sportsman 335. I was told that I probably should not get JUST the air filter but would need to get the kit because the machine would not run right if I just got the air filter by itself. Is there any truth to this???

 

Just get the filter you will be fine also get the cleaning kit you will like not having to replace the paper filter when it gets wet the k&N filters are well worth the money hope this helps jaime

 

Do these K & N filters give you any extra performance? Also how much do they cost?

 

I was told that you get 15% more power and the full kit is approx. $140.00. I'm not exactly sure of what it all contains, but from what I can remember him telling me it has pre-filter, filter, recalibration kit for the carb.

 

Filters are about $30 from a Polaris Dealer, I was told to use the original pre-filter.

 

That 335 needs all the help it can get, I hear even a trailboss can beat em.
