Does anyone have any idea how much the dealer will offer me for a trade in on my scrambler. I am looking to trade up to the new sportsman 600. I will find out after work today, but I was just wondering what I can expect..Thanks

Here are the specs:
2000 Scrambler 500 4x4
Rear Rack
Rack Bag
Skid Plate
Brand New Bear Claw tires on all 4 wheels.
Average condition
New oil and fluids just changed

You would probably be better off selling it privately. You will get more $ than you will on a trade in. Then just use that $ as your down payment.

Just my 2 cents!

Kelley Blue Book lists the trade-in value at $3180.

Of course, this will depend on the dealer. If they don't want it at all they will either not offer you anything or take a shot in the dark and really low ball you. If they know a potential buyer off hand it will be worth more to them, but I don't think that they'll go much higher than Kelley Blue Book.

However, I could be wrong. My buddy has a 2001 Banshee which Blue Books for $3300 trade in. He is going to be getting an '03 in and he offered my friend $4800 for a trade in!!!!! Of course he will be selling the '03 at MSRP with no deal, but still.

All this stuff is weird...gotta be in the right place at the right time.

Try putting it on E-bay. I sold mine on e-bay a while back and got more ching than I ever thought I would! The guy even came and picked it up. Worth a shot!

Anything is better than trading it in to the stealership.

My guess is you will not be very happy with what they offer. I have to agree with brokeitagain2, try Ebay, Some things on there do very well. Just Please clean it up before putting a picture up, some leave there stuff dirty and nasty and it just looks bad.

I know that my local dealer just had a NEW out of the box 2000 500 4x4 on the floor and cleared it out at $4299.00

I considered it before I bought my used 99.
