Hey fellows---just want to say thanks for all the info you guys put in this forum.I have a 99 sport400.Bought it stock about 8 months ago----since I have-----Power Reeds,Reedvalve spacer,Airbox mods,HPD trail pipe,ITP aluminum wheels,HPD cluth kit, rear paddles,Works front shocks,Fox rear shock, and I just ordered a steering stablizer. I love this machine so easy to ride but sooo fast.Have to be carefull it will sneak up on you when you least expect it.My question is what next?Should I wait until rebuild and bore,Wiseco, poet, shave head, and carb at one time? Will I feel about the same improvement I did with the pipe combo? Is there somthing I m missing?WANT MORE----lol-----cant stand it.Your imput will be appreciated.

JMPO
I am sure most will say put a WISECO in right away. Stock piston does not like the extra rpms.

As for the differense in power, I don't think you will notice further mods as much as the once you have done, again JMPO.

Pipe and clutch kits seem to give you that first INCREDIBLE boost.
I have a fully modded 99 AAEN stage 4 and a 2000 w just a Hot Seat speed kit. The 99 is quicker, but not night and day like your first series of mods including pipe and clutching. As for whats next,I would say WISECO and head (Shave or cool max billit) and maybe porting. The Rear Seconday roller clutch conversion is a very nice addition for the avid trailrider.

39mm carb would be the next logical step.

99 Sport, when you get ready, send me your cylinder and I'll trail port it for you for $100 plus shipping. You can feel as much difference with that as putting on a pipe.Change that piston for sure, though. Your setting on a time bomb now. Bubba

Pop the carb on first, get 'er set up rich side of jetting. Then if something should go burp while you're dialing it in, you won't be out a piston also. But like Bubba said, the Wiseco is the way to go.
