hey guys.... i was thinking of getting a new quad, but i dont know which one to get, the z400 or the predator. both are very good quads i hear but i want the best all around quad. the thing im really lookin for is speed. My buddy has the DS650 and im lookin to drag and beat him. if anybody knows anything reply please.

if you look in the suzuki forum, the same question was asked, you can find a lot by looking in some of the categories you wouldnt normally.

 

the predator is a good bit faster than a z-400, and a lil bit faster than a stock raptor.

a stock pred runs like a raptor with a airbox and pipe on it.

hey man, if youve got some insider info, then please share, but from what i understand, the preds are due out for a few more months

 

I don't think polarismech has any inside info. If you read the tests on the predator it clearly says that it'll hang with the big boys. Last time i checked the DS, raptor and cdale are the big boys. I could be wrong but i don't think the Z400 has the power of a DS, raptor or a cdale.

 

im just very hesitant to listen to a magazine to tell me how a quad performs. as seen in posts elsewhere on this site, mags are hard to trust and one should be very skeptical about taking their reports as truth.

 

if you want to go fast a yamaha banshee have his place yet,BUT wait and get the PREDATOR,alot more advanced and new hi-tech goodies,the fact about the pred have all taking place but some ignorant peoples cannot understand what POLARIS can do at all,it taken time to built this new quad and racing is their blood...PURE POLARIS!

Why dont you wait until November and test ride them both. Everyone you ask will have an opinion. The Pred no doubt will be faster. I think the Pred is sweet too. Just my opinion.

 

If you want to outdrag a DS650, you need another DS or a piped Raptor. Anything over 100 feet it will not be close. A Z is a very nice quad but not real fast. On new quads are toted as being the fastest, most HP. Then reality sets in and.......

The new predator will be nice, but it will run 70mph and make 35 horspower.
