I am having a hell of a time trying to get the tranny out of my 01 scrabler 4x4!!!
do you need to take the front drive shaft off first???
the housing for the front shaft will not let me remove the tranny???
any help would be appreciated!!!
does it exit left, right or rear(i have the swingarm off)

Yes you need to remove the front driveshaft first. I normally pull it out from the right side.

Locomofo, I like the bag over the head...heh heh heh...

I know how to get the tranny out...one stick of tnt!!!

Seriously, though, if you need help call me and I will come over maybe Sunday and help you. I am going "up nort" on Sat. to the hunting land but we should get together on Sunday anyway.

Hey, 425xpedition, not to be a smart a$$ or anything, but when you say "normally pull it from the right side", do you mean that tranny pulling is a common thing on scramblers in general or do you work on a lot of machines?

I would not say that I work on alot of bikes, but i do work on more than the most people. Owning three bikes and abusing them quite often can keep you busy. Plus all of the buddies that always need help. Also like to build bikes that Polaris will not build for me.
