I recently drained all of the 2-cycle oil out of my 1998 scrambler 400. It had been in there awhile and I wanted to replace it with fresh oil. There is a little bit of air in the line. How do I get that air out? In the owners manual it says to turn the bleeder screw one full turn and let it drain for 5 to 10 seconds but I don't see a bleeder screw on the pump. Any suggestions? If you take the pump cover off, it's the screw on the top left corner. While you're doing all this, it's kinda a good idea to premix some oil in the tank just in case something goes burp. Or you could put the front end of your quad on an 11 lb diet and get an oil pump block-off plate and switch to 40:1 premix all together.
