loose chain on 325 trailboss

i have a 2001 trailboss and when i go in reverse the chain drags along the chain gaurd and snaps when i go forward it tightins up do i need to tightin up the chain if so how is this done.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

1.Loosen the Two Long bolts Holding the Carrier.
2.Also loosen the Caliper Bracket to Carrier Mounting bolt.
The whole Axle carrier assembly is like a Cam, Twist or turn it to Adjust.
Make sure you do not OVER TIGHTEN chain. There is a proper lash.
Tight chains only cause problems. Much added stress and wear.
