Hello, thinking of buying a 2002 700. It has only 150 miles on it and a snowplow. It looks like brand new but i know nothing to speak of about this quad any input would be greatly appreciated. Hows the reliability, power handling etc. etc.
THANKS IN ADVANCE, LATER

buy it. also buy at least 4 gallons of antifreeze to refill it with because it will fall out of various places for the fist few hundred miles until you have fixed all the factory mistakes like water pump cover, radiator hose, temperature sender, radiator hose tee, that's as far as I've gotten with mine.

to answer the rest of your question:
Reliability-----lousy-mostly coolant related.
Power ----------very, very good
handling--------absolutely without question the best riding machine made

Kicks butt in the mud, not quite as quick down low as the other big bores, but could pull a house down with all the torque. Fantastic ground clearance, very good in the rocks. Doesn't mind water at all, either. I've been consistently amazed at the water it will go through without drowning.

700 not for newbies....if your new to quads take the polaris course and make sure you follow ALL precautions...
700 is one good quad....I think its the best for all around utility.

Good advice on being your first atv, it is quite powerful and the ride is so good that you tend to forget hou much torque you have. It can get away from you. Water leak at pump cover is the only problem I have had, used silicone gasket sealer and no more problems.
