How is your water pump cover holding up? I totally agree with your post I love mine too. I only have 70 miles so far.

slow slow leak in front tires....takes a month to go flat.

Everytime I ride I am grinning from ear to ear...Just got oil, oil filter, fuel filter, grease, and K&N recharger kit. Gonna lube it up tonight!!!

I'd like to hear more on the sp700's reliability, brother is looking at the 600 and 700's. I know a couple of people that have a sp700, but info from more people would be nice.

Murphys Law!!!

When I was changing oil and lubing the zirks. I noticed a small leak from the water pump cover coming out of the side. Called the dealer to see if there was a seal to replace and they said just bring it in and we will take care of it. Dealer said alot of bikes have had the seal replaced and that its no big deal. He also said thats the only thing he has had to replace on all 40 of the 700's they have sold.

I was just about to say you must not have a real 700, or you would have a water pump leak! Ask your dealer about the new (redesigned)water pump cover. There really isn't a seal, so to speak. the reason they leak is because the cover is warped. Lay it on a flat surface like glass and you will see. Dealer filed mine down so it's flat, so far so good.

I love my sp700. The only problem so far is the water pump leak. Had it into a dealer and they fix it in 2 hours and had it back to ride again. I have 400 miles on mine. I haven't had it trail riding much, just been using it for bear hunting and scouting for deer. I travel through a lot of swamp and mud and the thing goes through a ton of sh*t.

My cousin was looking around at different atv's and finally ended up with a 700. He was up riding with me last weekend and was completely impressed. He said that he was glad he didn't settle for anything but the best.

Just my 3 cents worth.

i just want to say that i LOVE every aspect of my 700's except the water pump leaks. Polaris appears to have a solution finally and i should get mine back this Friday.

but really, other than the leak this machine has been FANTASTIC.

in fact, once the pump issue is resolved, i'm thinking about clutching and piping one to see how much i can boost the power!(not that it needs a boost, just for the fun of it!)

see-ya,
