Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

No special tools but you will need help to pre load the clutch.Start out at 2 and 2 on the helix. You will like this secondary spring it will slow you down on down hills a little.I personaly would change to a polaris white primary. The green Aaen is a little on the wild side for a 4 stroke.I have the exact set up in my 400 Sportsman and it is great but its a 2 stroke.Tried it in my 425 magnum and went to a white it made it more sane for trails.

The secondary springs are not to hard to change but you need two people to do it. The biggest thing you need is a small fish scale something cheap ! When you get it back together to check your pre-load on it hook the fish scale to it on one of the holes drilled for balancing it and have the other person hold the back and put the fish scale until the clutch starts to move the scale should read 12 lbs if not you spring is not pre-loaded right! You turn it 1.25 turns to pre-load it! Good luck it was tuff the first time but you will get use it it!

It's arm breaking power i love it i can smoke every bike out there beside a full blown banshee mod! I used it for drag racing only, i took the kit off and sold it to a friend other than the big 470 piston aaens cuts the intake off and welds a new one on that take a snowmobile 1200cc reed cage so she breaths great! Its alot of money but i didnt keep it long enought to see about the reliablty of it???? I did have the 440 kit on a sport for about 3 years and it was also great! The torque is unreal on the 470 and not bad on the 440 also my bike was 2.0 seconds quicker in the 1/8 mile with the 470 and 1.4 with the 440 kit i now have the stock cylinder that i ported to hpd race port specs and it runs great now @ 72mph @ 9.7 in 1/8 thats fast for a polaris automatic! Its for sale if you know anyone looking a very clean bike its never seen the mud! $3000.00 obo and its loaded with goodies.

Big Dog, did you accidentally hit a wrong button? I figure our altitudes are probably different, but mine ran a 8.93 at 71mph in the 1/8. Your time and speed aren't jiving.Bubba

I dont know where you are but i have the paper they give you at the end of the track where mine ran a 9.7 @ 72mph with a reaction time of .112 which sucked but that was my best time! Sound like you bike is faster than mine do you have a Big Bore Kit? Also weight is a big thing also what do you weight? Im 185lbs and they said that every 10 lbs is one HP you gain or lose!! If you are 130 pounds and have a big bore kit then you have a 55 lbs gain on me which is 5.5 HP thats alot on a ATV

Big Dog, I weigh 195lbs, and my bike weighs about 430lbs now. Speed and ET usually go hand and hand if all else is OK. The only thing I could think of is what was your 60ft time and 330ft time? My bike did a 1.82 60ft time and did the 330ft in 5.49.The 9.7 time just doesnt make sense with the 72mph. My bike is punched .140 over, but I do all my own portwork and engine work. So I dont really know Bubba
