Hey maybe someone can help me I have a 98 scrambler 400 with a DG pipe and silencer and it is way too loud. I get dirty looks from all the neighbors. Anyone have a stock pipe and silencer they would trade or sell?

 

the only thing DG pipe can do to a polaris is more noise/sounds,that didn't make all the pipes loud,so i'm not impressed you got problems with it.

 

Try Ebay, I see them on there often.

You can also try the HPD "quiet" silencer, and install a couple of the kevlar bands w/ clamps. With a race-mod @3000 rpm, the db's are around 97-98 measured 20" and 45 degree angle...just like the DNR's do. The kevlar strips/band-clamps also knock quite a few db's off the front of the pipe also.

Not when you live in a good free state like Arkansas. We might be the last on education (duh!!), but will also be the last for strictness on emission tests, DB ristrictions, and the laws governing incest (just kidding LOL!!) There is no doubt that sooner or later everyone will get tired of the noise. I have one question, is a muffled 2-stroke louder than a dump truck, or a Harley Davidson, or a 400EX with a big gun exhaust? Just food for thought.Bubba
