Polaris Atvs

I have replaced belts and when I do I always clean the rubber seal and use gasket sealer. It's something all my buddies do too. We have seen the whole belt slip thing in the water. Since the new method we have had no problems. You have to expect some leakage over time or maybe even brand new from the factory.

I have had my SP500 for 2-years and I have really liked it. I haven't had any real problems with it and I have had it buried in mud and water. My opion on ATVS is there all pretty good it just depends on what you as a indivdual are looking for.
I rode with a guy and his griz last weekend and we all got stuck. So we all got to pull each other out of the mud.

gotta agree with the 2 of you!! I've been in here only a couple weeks and must it's getting rather old listening to all the BaShing!! Not to mention some of the idiotic crap some will try to feed you!!
Maybe there should be a forum for BSers and bashing????????

I have to go with the Polaris guys here. I ride with them all the time. I never see them have any problems and some of these are old quads. Where and how we ride is torture on any quad. All brands will get stuck and have to be pulled out and all will break down and have to be pulled out sooner or later. The funny thing is I see more of the other brands stuck and broke down.
Water blasting is an every ride thing here in the summer. I do see wet belts once and a while. But, I also see other brands drown out it the same crossing. So, big deal, the belt gets wet once in a blue moon, wait a minute or so for it to dry and GO!!! That's easier than giving a drowned quad CPR!!! It's trail riding, not Rescue 911.
I think these are the things that lead to the bad rap Polaris quads get...
1. It's an idiots nature to rag on something just because it's different.
2. The PVT allows anyone to be able to ride and makes it the choice of people who don't know the 1st thing about riding or servicing a quad...So, you have other brand riders out there watching these dummies ride, get stuck and break down.

I know every one has a right to say what they think is right but the facts always tell the truth. I am a nobody when it comes to ATV’s but I love to ride them. When I ride which is every week, 90 % of my riding is in mud and water. I have always owned Honda’s and Yamaha’s because of this. RIGHT! Last year I broke my leg and ankle and I can no longer ride an ATV that requires me to shift with my foot. Therefore, I bought a Polaris ATV. So I am here to tell you and I can show you (with pics) that my Polaris can go through any water or mud that my other bikes went through and then some. I have never liked Polaris too much but now I am eating all the bad things I have said about them. Its not because a now ride one but because I see it with my own eyes.
P.S I have seen my friend go through water with his Polaris that I would not have thought of going through with my Yamaha or Honda.
