Before buying my Sportsman 335, I meant to ask you guys if an extended warranty is a good idea. In general, I'm against them, but given the nature of ATVing and the abuse the take, I kind of think it's a good idea for any ATV. However, I was disappointed to find that my dealer did not offer any kind of extended warranty. It was this fact that made me consider the Rancher as far into the process as I did. Anyway, for you Polaris owners with extended warranties, did you get them through Polaris? If not, who? Have you had good luck with them? My dealer said he doesn't offer them because their experience was that the warranty companies didn't want to honor anything and they ended up with angry customers. I've had the bike about 2 months now ... I'd like to buy one within the 6 month time period if you have any good ideas. Thanks in advance for the help.

 

Concorder,I bought an entended warrenty for my 99 Sportsman 500cc 4x4.It was 480 dollars for 4 years I think.In the world of 4x4 quads,there is ALOT that ''COULD'' go wrong in those four yrs,and with a labor rate around 50$ per hr,and the price of parts,WOW.Mine has allready paid for itself.The extended warrenty is only good if you have a mechanic that works to help the 'CUSTOMER''not the warreny company.Find a good mechanic with the customer in mind first.Than buy your extended warrenty thru that dealership.Good Luck===BILL
